Telepresence : The replacement of traditional video conferencing !

Telemedicine is a revolutionary aspect in the world of medicine. It is defined as the process of taking care of patients while staying remotely away from each other(Patients and Doctors). It is the most convenient way of working by taking full advantage of electronic information and telecommunications technology. Nowadays doctors don’t need to be present to deal with any patient. The unwell human also can consult a doctor staying far away.

With time, the medical industry is going to flourish more because of the massive implementation of Telemedicine. Telepresence is a newly invented technology for the sake of better video conferencing and treatments all over the nation to boost up the process of medicinal practices and other attributes related to that.

Telepresence is referred to as a real time experience of a feeling that a person is actually physically present in that particular place and time even when in reality, he/she is actually not. In the world where various upgraded applications are working in telepresence video calls and conferencing , advancements in technology have also been made in smart phones and portable devices which will help in every patient doctor relationship in getting better and working even more thoroughly over any case , no matter how far the patient stays. It is a form of remote control system where a human has a sense of better sound and sight experience that it resembles virtual reality.

The prominent applications of telepresence are quite profound. Working in extreme conditions like a freezing environment or in the places where red alert has been announced then telepresence works as a saviour. It is at times used to deal with toxic materials and dangerous operations like defusing bombs and stuff. It can also be used in performing a surgery by remote control and that too being absent at the specific sight. It is used to work for as many operations as it can without harming mankind.

Some serious issues and complications are also with this kind of technology as because of such a vast distance , the signals and data are sometimes not very accurate and timely. This hampers the process of medicinal practises on a different level. Since it is a high level technology procedure, it requires a higher level of bandwidth and signals to work for audio-visual betterment. But in some remote areas , the availability of such massive signals and datas is not possible and often makes it a major problem. With time the detection and perception is affected and are not very sound when considered.

The overall broadcasting of the fibre transmission and digital switching has made a pathway for new telecom services and goods which work out the best ways to have an optimum usage of voice , data , image and text for the implementations in the world of telemedicine. All of these have been made possible for the people living in rural areas on a minimal and affordable price. These all applications will help in better healthcare for remote and secluded areas.

On the ending note, it is an achievement that telecommunications have reached to such a point where telepresence and telehealth are economically fit for people and user friendly. In the meantime , the human brain will come up with the ability to perform keyhole surgeries and other non-invasive medical examinations and diagnosis.

In the next 10 to 15 years , we are highly likely to have an extended potential in the arena of telepresence to handle even worse medical cases and situations by just a tap away.

It is however certain that with such amazing benefits , the rising demand and outgrowth of robotics and telemedicine is completely assured and unstoppable!
